The role requires offshore crane operation certification, experience with ship-to-ship and inboard lifting, and strong safety awareness. Work is in Brazil offshore environments with meal allowances and healthcare benefits.

Responsabilidades

• Operate pedestal cranes following procedures, operating limits, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate ship-to-ship and inboard lifts with riggers and supervisors.
• Inspect lifting gear and perform maintenance per CMMS work orders.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations and inspections.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in safety drills as required.
• Ensure compliance with onboard safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job Purpose

The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pedestal cranes and other lifting equipment onboard, supporting ship-to-ship and inboard lifting operations in accordance with established procedures, operating limits, and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate pedestal cranes in accordance with established procedures, operating limits, and safety requirements;
• Drive pedestal cranes during ship-to-ship and inboard lifting operations;
• Inspect lifting gear regularly and prior to the commencement of lifting operations;
• Perform predictive and routine maintenance activities related to pedestal cranes in accordance with procedures and CMMS work orders;
• Communicate effectively with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors to coordinate lifting operations safely and efficiently;
• Monitor lifting operations and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and safety requirements;
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and participate in emergency response activities as required;
• Perform routine maintenance activities and promptly report mechanical, operational, or safety-related issues;
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations, maintenance activities, inspections, and relevant equipment conditions;
• Ensure compliance with onboard safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements;
• Maintain a strong safety-focused approach throughout all lifting and crane operations.

Requirements

• Valid Crane Operator certification/licence applicable to offshore lifting operations;
• Previous experience operating pedestal cranes in offshore, FPSO, maritime, or oil & gas environments;
• Demonstrated experience with ship-to-ship and inboard lifting operations;
• Knowledge of lifting equipment, lifting gear, and safe lifting practices;
• Familiarity with crane inspection, maintenance, and CMMS work orders;
• Ability to communicate effectively with riggers, signal persons, and supervisors during lifting operations;
• Knowledge of offshore safety procedures and emergency response requirements;
• Basic to intermediate English communication skills;
• Strong teamwork, communication, discipline, and safety-oriented mindset;
• Ability to work effectively in an offshore environment and follow established procedures and operating limits.
