Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking a detail-oriented logistics assistant in Nova Friburgo, Brazil. You will support Freight and Billing departments with daily tasks, track shipments, prepare shipments in the system, and escalate issues to management when needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 0–2+ years of related experience. Strong communication and accuracy are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Freight Department with shipment follow up, track and trace.
• Create shipments in the operational system.
• Accept pre alerts and issue payment requisitions to vendors.
• Escalate issues to the management team promptly.
• Proactively monitor exception reports and milestones in shipment lifecycle.
• Use the tools, checklist, and system as assigned to ensure quality and visibility.
• Report any out-of-scope processes or after-hours needs to management in advance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist Freight Department with various tasks: shipment follow up / track and trace; creating shipments in the operational system; accepting pre alerts, issuing payment requisitions to vendors, among others;
• Assist Billing Department with various tasks: building Billing Packets, uploading “Proof of Invoice” in the operations system;
• Ensure that any issues that arise are escalated in an efficient manner to the management team;
• Proactively monitor exception reports milestones/missing pre-alerts within the life cycle of a shipment;
• Use the tools, checklist, and system as per assigned by the station management to ensure process quality and visibility;
• Report to the management team in advance about any process that is out of scope or process that needs to be addressed by the management team after regular working hours, holidays and/or weekend;
• Other duties as assigned.
