Job summary

Sin Leong Lee Coffee Pte Ltd is seeking a Material Controller & Warehouse Supervisor to manage material planning, inventory control, and warehouse logistics in a Singapore-based F&B manufacturing environment. The role includes supervising a small logistics team, enforcing SOPs, and handling forklift operation on the shop floor.

Candidate should have ERP experience, strong Excel skills, and bilingual English/Mandarin communication, with Halal factory exposure as a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience as Material Controller / Warehouse & Logistics supervisor in F&B manufacturing, Singapore; Halal factory experience is a strong advantage.
• Proven team supervision experience; able to guide warehouse staff and standardise operations.
• Hands-on ERP inventory module experience; proficient in Excel and report generation.
• Understand MRP logic; capable to manage safety stock and analyze stock discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRP material requirement calculations based on production plan and BOM.
• Monitor safety stock and advise on purchasing timing to avoid shortages.
• Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes; investigate variances and report accuracy targets.
• Manage daily ERP transactions with proper documentation.
• Supervise warehouse operations, ensure zoning, temperature/ humidity control and pest management.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and driver arrangements for OnTimeDelivery targets.
• Support SOPs and PMC reporting on inventory turnover and wastage.

About the role

This is a Material Controller & Warehouse Supervisor role in an F&B manufacturing plant. You will manage material requirement planning, inventory control, warehouse operations, and logistics coordination. The role combines strategic inventory management with hands-on warehouse supervision and forklift operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MRP material requirement calculation based on production plan and BOM; generate purchasing requisition and follow up supplier incoming schedule to ensure material ready before production start
• Monitor raw coffee bean safety stock level and provide recommendations for purchasing timing to avoid overbuying and prevent production shutdown due to material shortage
• Monitor slow-moving and ageing stock; submit obsolescence report
• Complete daily ERP transactions including goods receipt, material issue, stock transfer, return and scrap with valid supporting documents on the same working day
• Conduct weekly cycle count and monthly full stocktake; investigate stock variance and submit reconciliation report with target inventory accuracy ≥99.5%
• Supervise warehouse operation team; enforce warehouse zoning, temperature-humidity control, pest control and Halal material segregation
• Implement receiving inspection rule and FIFO batch control for raw material and finished goods; manage non-conformance material and RTV return-to-vendor process
• Operate forklift for daily goods handling including receiving and racking of inbound raw material, loading of finished-goods outbound, and in-house transfer; perform routine forklift inspection and maintenance per workplace safety rules
• Directly supervise two existing 1st floor logistic colleagues; standardise delivery workflow, shipping document and proof-of-delivery filing; coordinate daily finished-goods shipment and driver arrangement with target OnTimeDelivery (OTD) ≥98%
• Implement simplified workable SOP based on company PMC manual; attend daily short PMC morning meeting and raise material shortage alert in advance; prepare monthly PMC performance report covering inventory turnover, material wastage, stock ageing and logistic error statistics

About you

• Working experience as Material Controller / Warehouse & Logistic supervisor in Singapore F&B / central kitchen manufacturing plant; Halal food factory experience is a strong advantage
• Proven team supervision experience; able to guide warehouse and logistic staff and re-standardise existing operation workflow
• Hands-on experience on ERP inventory module; proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table), stock reconciliation and report generation
• Understand MRP logic; capable to manage safety stock and analyse root-cause for stock discrepancy and material wastage
• High integrity and strong principle: strictly follow document-driven process, reject verbal work order; detail-oriented, able to trace inventory and material issues
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin for communication with supplier, driver and shopfloor workers
• Open-minded to process reformation; capable to translate formal management manual into simple practical work instruction for operation staff
• Hold a valid Singapore Forklift Licence with proven driving skills; physically fit and able to lift heavy loads; comfortable to work hands-on on the shop floor in a combined storekeeper and material control role
