Role Description

The Husbandry Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Santos, SP, responsible for coordinating and delivering husbandry services to vessels calling at the port. Daily tasks include arranging crew changes, coordinating medical visits, managing cash-to-master deliveries, and handling documentation and formalities with local authorities. The role involves close communication with ship owners, operators, captains, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant service delivery. The Husbandry Agent monitors vessel schedules, organizes transport and accommodation as needed, and ensures all services are executed in line with company guidelines and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in port agency or maritime services, with a solid understanding of vessel operations and local port regulations.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple vessel calls and time-sensitive tasks.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with international customers, ship crews, authorities, and internal stakeholders; proficiency in English and Portuguese is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site and respond flexibly to changing vessel schedules, including occasional work outside standard office hours.
• Attention to detail and reliability in handling documentation, financial transactions, and compliance requirements.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with email, spreadsheets, and agency/logistics systems.
• Customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to safety, quality, and ethical conduct.
