The HR Manager will lead the Human Resources function for Brazil, serving as a trusted partner to business leadership while ensuring effective execution of all core HR processes. This role is responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives, managing day-to-day HR operations, and supporting organizational growth through strong employee relations, compliance, and talent practices.
This position requires a hands‑on leader who can balance strategic support with operational excellence in a fast‑paced, industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Business Partnership
- Act as a key HR partner to site and functional leadership, providing guidance on people‑related matters
- Support the development and execution of HR strategies aligned with business goals
- Drive accountability and alignment across leaders on people initiatives
Employee Relations & Labor Management
- Manage employee relations issues, ensuring consistent, fair, and compliant outcomes
- Lead and support labor relations activities, including union interactions and collective agreements
- Provide guidance on Brazilian labor law (CLT) and ensure adherence to all legal requirements
HR Operations
- Oversee core HR processes, including payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle activities
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all HR operations
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with company standards and local regulations
Talent Management & Development
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development planning
- Partner with leaders to identify talent gaps and support succession planning efforts
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and support leadership development programs
Organizational Effectiveness & Change
- Support organizational design and workforce planning initiatives
- Lead or participate in change management efforts, including restructures and business transformations
- Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all local labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with Legal and leadership to mitigate risk and manage labor‑related issues
- Support audits, investigations, and compliance initiatives as needed
HR Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report key HR metrics (headcount, turnover, absenteeism, etc.)
- Use data to support decision‑making and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor law (CLT) and experience with union environments
- Demonstrated experience managing full‑cycle HR operations
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence outcomes
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working in multinational or matrix organizations preferred
