Business Development Manager – Energy Generation

This position reports to the Senior Sales Manager - Energy Industries Brazil.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the Energy Generation segment, focusing on Hydroelectric and Thermoelectric plants within the Process Automation portfolio (PAEN). The role involves addressing both commercial and technical issues internally and externally, aiming for strategic sales growth, segment profitability, and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop strategies for the Energy Generation industrial segment, emphasizing large or strategic networks, ensuring Account Plans and growth actions are on track and delivering results.
  • Define sales targets and growth margins for segment accounts, with structured monitoring to ensure achievement.
  • Lead negotiations and manage client relationships based on strategic plans, acting as the primary point for problem resolution and complaint monitoring.
  • Create value for customers and ABB by coordinating sales efforts focused on volume, mix, and profitability targets.
  • Monitor competitor activities and formulate response strategies, including market price signaling.
  • Identify market trends and develop value propositions (innovation, services, marketing) to attract customers in the segment. Oversee global account management and sales targets within ABB Energy Industries Division.
Qualifications
  • Higher education completed, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Automation.
  • Experience in B2B sales within the energy generation segments (Hydroelectric, Thermoelectric, etc.).
  • Knowledge of industrial automation portfolios (control systems, controllers).
  • Desirable: Knowledge of electrification portfolios.
  • Advanced or fluent English proficiency.
