The American University of Bahrain is seeking a dedicated Student Support Coordinator to advise and assist at-risk students with course selection, registration, workload and progression requirements.
You will monitor attendance and performance, coordinate referrals to academic advisors and the University Counselor, maintain confidential records, and contribute to retention strategies and student success initiatives.
Demonstrated commitment to student success, retention, and holistic student support.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with students, particularly students experiencing academic or personal challenges.Ability to identify students at risk and proactively initiate appropriate interventions and follow-up.Ability to work independently with minimum direction and strict adherence to deadlines while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.Knowledge of university policies and regulations related to registration, academic progression, student conduct, grievances, and appeals.Ability to handle sensitive student matters with professionalism, discretion, empathy, and confidentiality.Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with various internal and external constituencies.Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in both English (US) and Arabic.Excellent planning, organization, follow-up, and case management skills.
