Head Pastry Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end bakery in Al-Malikiyah, known for its delicious and innovative pastries. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for leading our pastry kitchen and creating new recipes while maintaining the quality and consistency of our current offerings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and ensuring high levels of hygiene and cleanliness
• Create new and unique pastry recipes that reflect current food trends while staying true to our brand's identity
• Train and mentor junior pastry chefs in creating high-quality pastries
• Develop cost-effective menus that meet budget requirements without compromising on taste or presentation
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of pastry orders for events or special occasions
• Conduct regular taste tests to maintain the quality and flavor of pastries
• Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our pastry offerings

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role in a reputable bakery or restaurant
• Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety procedures
• Creativity and innovation in developing new pastry recipes that will satisfy a diverse range of customers
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders without compromising on quality

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in culinary arts or relevant field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, with at least 2 years in a senior/leadership role
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Nationality: Any (Preference given to candidates from Middle Eastern countries)

Salary
