Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an OCC Specialist in Bahrain to drive OFR pricing strategy, respond to RFQs, and manage tariff updates. You will support tender development, maintain pricing databases, and build strong carrier relationships in a fast-paced global logistics environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and more than 4 years of relevant experience, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
• More than 4 years of experience in freight forwarding or related field.
• Strong analytical and pricing skills with ability to respond to pricing enquiries promptly.

Responsibilities

• Execute plans and processes to implement the OFR pricing strategy.
• Respond to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner.
• Ensure timely monitoring and updating of local tariffs.
• Manage RFQ development, especially for high-priority RFQs; provide guidance and conduct launch calls when needed.
• Deliver day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding; assist in tenders and ensure on-time submissions.
• Develop and maintain databases to enable quick responses to network queries.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and airlines; prepare carrier performance reports.
• Identify opportunities to enhance services and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers.
• Study developments of new solutions, services, lanes and traffic developments.
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced team members; troubleshoot issues in day-to-day OFR pricing.
