Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding Bahrain is seeking an OCC Specialist to drive OFR pricing execution, respond to pricing inquiries, and maintain local tariffs with accuracy and speed. You will develop RFQs, assist in tender work, and ensure timely documentation for shipments.

The role focuses on building carrier relationships, preparing performance reports, and supporting colleagues to improve efficiency and service quality in a dynamic global logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
• Experience in freight pricing or logistics is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for RFQ and pricing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Execute plans and processes to implement the OFR pricing strategy.
• Respond to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner.
• Ensure the timely monitoring and updating of local tariffs.
• Develop RFQs, provide guidance, and conduct launch calls for critical quotes.
• Deliver day-to-day shipment documentation and support tender development.
• Build and maintain databases for quick network query responses.

In this OCC Specialist position

• Execute plans and processes to implement the OFR pricing strategy
• Respond to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner
• Ensure the timely monitoring and accurate updating of local tariffs
• Ensure RFQ development, particularly for high priority RFQs provide detailed guidance and for critical RFQs conduct launch calls
• Deliver day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding, assist in development of tenders and ensure on-time submission on relevant documents
• Develop and maintain databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries
• Build and secure business relationships with customers and airlines
• Prepare carrier performance reports and reviews
• Identify opportunities to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive prices and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets
• Understand recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development
• Provide support on issues and problems from less experienced/new team members, provide direction and guidance as needed
• Study and resolve issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for OFR pricing focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
