Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Bahrain seeks a Road Freight OPS Team Leader to coordinate network and transport planning/design operations, aiming for fast, reliable, efficient, and affordable transport from origin to destination.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and more than 2 years of experience in road freight operations, with responsibilities spanning planning, coaching, carrier management, and performance tracking to meet service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• More than 2 years of experience in road freight operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.
• Setting day-to-day operational objectives for team.
• Coach and guide the team for execution of day-to-day tasks and activities to meet work schedules and targets.
• Draft route plans and load schedules, maximize consolidation levels into service area, choose appropriate transportation.
• Coordinate plans and processes for transport operations.
• Track performance of the subcontractors against set standards.
• Manage the carrier network for specific traffic region and achieve consistency of carrier service with defined standards and compliance with pallet and claim policies.
• Track delivery exceptions from the carriers and report back to principal and/or customer service team.
