Job summary

Hirestar Talent Consulting is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Bahrain to handle local and international procurement of equipment, materials, and spare parts. You will source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, prepare RFQs and POs, and coordinate imports and deliveries.

The role requires 3–5 years in procurement/logistics, GCC/Bahrain experience preferred, and strong landed-cost calculation skills. ERP/Excel proficiency is essential for record-keeping and reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, warehouse, logistics or supply chain.
• GCC/Bahrain experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial kitchen equipment, home appliances, HVAC/refrigeration, LPG, petroleum equipment or trading/distribution preferred.
• Strong supplier negotiation, import coordination and landed-cost calculation experience.
• ERP/inventory system and good Excel skills.
• Candidates with only storekeeping experience without procurement exposure are not suitable.

Responsibilities

• Handle local and international procurement of equipment, materials, spare parts and consumables.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and local vendors.
• Prepare RFQs, quotation comparisons and Purchase Orders.
• Coordinate imports, freight forwarders, clearing agents and deliveries.
• Review shipping documents and support customs clearance.
• Calculate landed costs and monitor procurement/logistics expenses.
• Manage warehouse receiving, storage, dispatch and inventory control.
• Monitor stock levels, ageing, slow/non-moving items and discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement, inventory, supplier and logistics records using ERP/Excel.
• Coordinate safe storage and handling of appliances, commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration gases, LPG-related equipment and spare parts.
