Job summary

Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering division, safeguarding the hotel's assets, facilities and services. You will oversee HVAC, electrical and lifecycle maintenance while ensuring compliance and energy efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, CAPEX project experience, and a proactive approach to safety and guest comfort. You will collaborate with senior management to optimize budgets and asset performance across the property.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large and complex hotel assets.
• Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS and fire/life safety systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading CAPEX projects.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and building regulations.
• Excellent contractor, stakeholder and project management capabilities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic engineering advice to senior management and optimize operational efficiency.
• Manage budgets, capital works programs and maintenance plans.
• Plan and oversee capital projects with appropriate funding and governance.
• Run an energy management program and report performance.
• Ensure safety, compliance and guest comfort through proactive maintenance.
