Job summary

Naseem AlAndalos, a Bahraini fashion house specializing in luxury kaftans and couture, is seeking an experienced cutter to cut fabric by hand for our couture pieces. The role involves laying out fabrics from paper patterns, cutting silk, chiffon, satin and lace with precision, and ensuring minimal waste.

You will follow grain lines, match prints, mark notches for tailors, and keep cut pieces organized for production.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in an atelier, couture house or high-end workshop.
• Confident cutting by hand with delicate fabrics and slippery textiles.
• Good understanding of patterns, grain, and how fabrics behave.

About us

Naseem AlAndalos is a Bahraini fashion house creating luxury kaftans, prêt-à-couture and couture. Every piece is made in our atelier in Bahrain, from the first hand-drawn sketch and hand-cut pattern to the final fitting.

The role

We are looking for an experienced cutter to cut fabric by hand for our luxury kaftans and couture pieces.

What you'll do

• Lay out and cut fabric by hand from paper patterns
• Cut delicate and expensive fabrics such as silk, chiffon, satin and lace accurately, with minimal waste
• Follow grain lines and match prints and pattern repeats
• Mark notches, darts and placement points for the tailors
• Keep cut pieces organised and labelled for production

What we're looking for

• At least 3 years' experience as a cutter in an atelier, couture house or high-end workshop
• Confident cutting by hand with shears, including slippery and delicate fabrics
• A good understanding of patterns, grain and how fabrics behave

Please note

This is a hand-cutting role. We do not use automated or computerised cutting.
