Job summary

Gender in Manama seeks an attentive hospitality professional to maintain uniform standards, greet guests, and present menus with clear explanations of daily specials. You will ensure a flawless dining experience by following service sequences and maintaining intimate knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings.

The role requires hospitality experience in luxury environments, strong English and additional language skills, and the ability to work under pressure during peak hours, including nights

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hospitality related Degree or Diploma
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a luxury environment
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Advanced levels of Business English
• Proficiency in a second language such as Arabic, Russian
• Excellent food & beverage knowledge
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct uniform standards are followed at all times.
• Ensure guests enjoy an expertly served beverage/dining experience by following the outlet sequence of service.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu & daily specials at all times
• Be familiar with beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.
• Anticipate and service guests' requirements at all times
• Prepare the outlet ready for service according to SOP or manager instructions
• Ensure service stations are cleared & re-stocked during service
• Present menus and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day
• Ascertain guest satisfaction and address any problem, informing a manager of how it was resolved
• Report accidents or guest complaints immediately to a manager
• Check expiration dates or perishable items daily & store per HACCP standards
• Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
• Break down any buffets, displays or side stations when needed
• Attend all necessary briefings & training sessions as instructed by the Operations Manager, Food and Beverage
• Handle cash and credit card procedures according to accounting guidelines
• Identify potential problems and ask for assistance before breakdown occurs
• Perform any duties and special projects as requested by management whether in your own or other departments
