Job summary

The candidate will maintain menu knowledge, greet guests, manage peak hours, and work with the F&B team to ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to HACCP and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Hospitality-related degree or diploma is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a luxury environment.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Advanced level of Business English.
• Proficiency in a second language such as Arabic or Russian.
• Excellent knowledge of food & beverage items and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow outlet service sequence to ensure guests receive an exceptional dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and daily specials to inform guests.
• Present menus and explain items and specials to guests.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to issues promptly with management informed.
• Adhere to HACCP standards for storage and handling of perishables.
• Attend briefings and training sessions as instructed by the Operations Manager, F&B.

Job description

1. Ensure correct uniform standards are followed at all times.
2. Ensure the guests of the outlet experience an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience by following the outlet sequence of service.
3. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu & daily specials at all times
4. To be familiar with the beverage service including stemware used and appropriates garnishes.
5. Anticipate and service of guests' requirements at all times
6. Prepare the outlet ready for service according to the outlet standard operating procedure or as per the specific manager s instructions
7. Ensure service stations are constantly cleared & re-stocked during service
8. Present menus and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day.
9. Ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problem, which may arise informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolved.
10. To report all accidents or guest complaint immediately to a manager.
11. Ensure expiration dates or perishable items are checked on a daily basis & stored in accordance to HACCP standards
12. To respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
13. To breakdown any buffets, displays or side stations when needed
14. Attend all necessary briefings & training sessions as instructed by the Operations Manager, Food and Beverage
15. Handle cash and credit card procedures according to the guidelines of the accounting department
16. Identify potential problems and ask for assistance before breakdown occurs
17. Perform any duties and special projects as requested by management whether in your own department or any other department in the resort.

Desired Candidate Profile

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Hospitality related Degree or Diploma Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a luxury environment Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
