Job summary

Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Outlet Server to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting. You will uphold uniform standards, present menus, and ensure a seamless dining journey, including beverage service and daily specials.

The role requires 1–2 years in a luxury environment, advanced Business English, and a willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays, with proficiency in a second language such as Arabic or Russian.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct uniform standards at all times.
• Provide guests with an enjoyable beverage/dining experience following service protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and daily specials.
• Familiar with beverage service and appropriate garnishes.
• Anticipate and respond to guest requirements.
• Prepare the outlet for service per SOPs and manager instructions.
• Keep service stations clear and restocked during service.
• Present menus and explain items and specials to guests.
• Report any guest issues to the manager and resolve where possible.
• Adhere to HACCP standards by checking expiry dates and storage.
• Respond appropriately to hotel emergencies or safety situations.
• Attend required briefings and training sessions.
• Handle cash and card procedures per accounting guidelines.
• Identify potential problems and seek help before issues arise.
• Perform duties and projects as requested by management.

Job Description

• Ensure correct uniform standards are followed at all times.
• Ensure the guests of the outlet experience an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience by following the outlet sequence of service.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu & daily specials at all times
• To be familiar with the beverage service including stemware used and appropriates garnishes.
• Anticipate and service of guests' requirements at all times
• Prepare the outlet ready for service according to the outlet standard operating procedure or as per the specific manager’s instructions
• Ensure service stations are constantly cleared & re-stocked during service
• Present menus and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day.
• Ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problem, which may arise informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolved.
• To report all accidents or guest complaint immediately to a manager.
• Ensure expiration dates or perishable items are checked on a daily basis & stored in accordance to HACCP standards
• To respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• To breakdown any buffets, displays or side stations when needed
• Attend all necessary briefings & training sessions as instructed by the Operations Manager, Food and Beverage
• Handle cash and credit card procedures according to the guidelines of the accounting department
• Identify potential problems and ask for assistance before breakdown occurs
• Perform any duties and special projects as requested by management whether in your own department or any other department in the resort.

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hospitality related Degree or Diploma
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a luxury environment
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Advanced levels of Business English
• Proficiency in a second language such as Arabic, Russian
• Excellent food & beverage knowledge
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
