EngiFlex BV is seeking a Telephony System Engineer and Technical Lead to design and operate telephony infrastructure, collaborating with infrastructure architects and security officers to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will ensure stability and performance of telephony services, guide incident resolution, and drive ongoing improvements in the telephony environment in a Belgian IT infrastructure setting.

Tasks and responsibilities

As a Telephony System Engineer and Technical Lead, you contribute your expertise in telephony solutions such as SIP, networking, software platforms and MBG to both transformation projects and daily operations.

Your responsibilities include:

In a project context:

• Define and design telephony infrastructure solutions in close collaboration with infrastructure architects, system designers, system engineers and security officers.
• Support the evolution and modernization of the telephony platform, with a focus on scalability, resilience and security.
• Act as the technical reference point for telephony-related initiatives and key technical decisions.

In an operational context:

• Safeguard the day-to-day stability, performance and availability of telephony services.
• Assist system engineers during incident resolution by providing troubleshooting expertise and guiding root cause analysis.
• Take ownership of problem management to help prevent recurring incidents.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive evolutions within the telephony environment.

You play an important role in keeping telephony services reliable while helping the environment evolve in line with future business and technology needs.

Environment

You will work within an IT infrastructure environment that supports both the evolution and the day-to-day management of infrastructure services. The role is situated in a specialized technical team focused on network, VPN and telephony, alongside other domain teams covering areas such as hypervisor, storage, backup, scheduling, SAP, database administration and cloud excellence.

This environment contributes to infrastructure modernization, operational continuity, platform performance and the ongoing improvement of IT and OT systems.
