Compusearch bv in Brussels is seeking a technically skilled Services engineer to remotely manage mission critical systems for customers. You will analyse problems with the team, perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management, and be trained in new technologies.

You will participate in implementing new installations at customers in close cooperation with Project Engineers and Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Engineer in Electronics/IT/Telecommunication.
• Fluent in Dutch; good knowledge of English and French is a major asset.
• Strong virtualization knowledge (VMware, Nutanix).
• Experience with Windows Server environments.
• Enterprise Networking expertise (Switching, Routing, TCP/IP).
• Linux knowledge is an asset; VOIP/Video knowledge is an asset.
• Analytical, well organized, flexible and eager to learn.
• Open to on-call rotation after a few months.
• Driver Licence B.
• Professional with up to 4 years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Install the solution at customer sites and put into service.
• Provide training to key users and administrators.
• Perform remote corrective maintenance on mission critical systems.
• Perform updates and upgrades on existing systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance visits under contracts.
• Participate in on-call rotation after training period.
• Troubleshooting complex environments; technical consulting and customer interaction.

Within the Services department, you are responsible for the management (remote) of various mission critical systems installed at the customers. If a problem arises, you analyse the problem and, together with the team, find the best solution. You do not only perform classic maintenance tasks, but you are also responsible for proactively monitoring the systems, rolling out upgrades and lifecycle management. You will be trained in various new technologies. And you participate in the implementation of new installations at customers in close cooperation with the Project Engineers and Project Managers.

Implementation of projects:

• You install the solution at the customer's site and put it into service.
• You give training to key users and administrators.

Maintenance:

• You perform ( remote) corrective maintenance on various mission critical systems.
• You perform updates and upgrades on existing systems.
• You perform preventive visits in the context of maintenance contracts.

Required experience

• Must have: Bachelor, Master or Engineer in Electronics,Information Technology, Telecommunication...
• Fluent in Dutch, good knowledge of English and French are a major assets
• Good understanding of virtualisation (VMware, Nutanix)
• Expertise in Windows server environments
• Enterprise Networking (Switching, Routing, TCP/IP)
• Expertise in Linux systems environements is an asset
• Expertise in VOIP / Video is an asset
• Analytical mind, well organised, flexibility, eagerness to learn are key in this position
• Open to participate in the on call rotation within your team after a few months of practice
