Job summary

Econocom Belgium is seeking a Software Asset Management Specialist to strengthen its software asset management within the IT department. The role combines administrative, analytical and coordination activities across IT, Procurement and Finance to ensure a compliant and cost-efficient software portfolio.

You will manage the lifecycle of licenses, maintain the license database, review contracts, and analyse usage data to drive optimisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management.
• Good understanding of software licensing models and major software vendors.
• Experience with SAM / ITAM solutions and license management processes.
• Strong analytical skills and data reporting tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL and/or Power BI.
• Strong administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Fluent in French and Dutch, combined with fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT software licenses, from request to renewal.
• Maintain an accurate, up-to-date license database.
• Review and analyse software contracts and licensing terms with IT, Procurement and Finance.
• Analyse software usage data to identify unused or over-licensed software and suggest optimisations.
• Monitor and report on SAM KPIs, compliance risks and cost savings potential.
• Prepare analyses, reports and dashboards to support management decisions.
• Contribute to SAM process improvements and data governance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for license management and renewals.
• Contribute to cost optimisation and risk management across the portfolio.
