Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to bridge business needs with IT delivery in the utilities sector. You will translate problems into functional requirements, coordinate across asset management, logistics, and IT, and shape roadmaps and backlogs for scalable solutions.

Expect 3+ years in development and testing within energy contexts, with strong .NET and SOA knowledge. Dutch fluency at C2 level is essential for this on-site role in Melle, Belgium.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• 5+ years of experience using Jira and Confluence for project management.
• 3+ years of experience as a functional analyst within the Energy sector.
• 3+ years of experience in application development including reading and debugging code.
• 3+ years of experience performing functional testing.
• Proven knowledge of .NET development and SOA architectures.
• Fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business problems and domain-wide needs into clear functional requirements and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with asset management, logistics, and IT to build a strong internal network.
• Support the development of project definitions, roadmaps, and product backlogs while prioritizing business needs.
• Create detailed functional analyses that enable development teams to implement solutions efficiently.
• Balance functionality, usability, and cost-efficiency to ensure the scalability and maintenance of proposed solutions.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, including architects and developers, to ensure successful project implementation.
• Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to maintain and optimize the application landscape.
