Job summary

Pauwels Consulting in Brussels seeks a seasoned Functional Analyst to support a multi-year digital transformation. You will translate complex financial and business needs into technical specs, manage data migrations, and coordinate platform integrations for a core management system.

Qualifications

7+ years as Functional Analyst in finance or public sector
Experience in data modeling for financial flows and SEPA payments
Experience with ERP systems, data migrations and integrations
Proficiency in data processing and query development
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools
Experience using AI tools for analysis and documentation
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving approach
Fluent Dutch and French with professional English level

Responsibilities

Elaborate business rules, data mapping, and interface specifications for core admin systems
Translate accounting, SEPA payments, and settlements into functional requirements and user stories
Map as-is and to-be processes to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
Coordinate with developers, product owners, and external suppliers on functionality and priorities
Perform functional testing and verify data migrations for accuracy
Maintain functional documentation and support user training through release notes and demonstrations
