Job summary

Tekst is seeking an experienced software engineer to help build scalable back-office processes. You will mentor peers, design high-impact systems, and drive performance improvements across teams.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with Node.js/TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SQL, and AWS. You’ll contribute to roadmaps, collaborate with product teams, and champion best practices in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of practical software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS).
• Deep experience in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of HTTP-based API consumption.
• Deep system design experience with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Mentorship is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Mentor at all levels: provide constructive feedback, conduct code reviews, and offer technical guidance to junior engineers and peers.
• Help with System Design: participate in designing and implementing systems, and optimize current ones for performance and cost efficiency.
• Bring your best practices: champion software development standards, testing methodologies, and efficient development processes.
• Strategic vision: participate in defining project roadmaps, contribute to risk assessment and execution, and ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Collaboration: work closely with cross-functional product teams to understand and translate requirements into solutions.
