Pauwels Consulting is seeking an experienced HR operations professional to manage long-term sickness and absence processes for its Belgian activities. You will coordinate end-to-end absenteeism administration and payroll-related tasks while contributing to a data-driven operating model.

With 3+ years in HR operations and payroll, you will ensure compliance, maintain data quality in HR systems, and develop dashboards in Excel and Power BI to reveal absence trends and financial impacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in HR operations or payroll administration focused on absence management.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian payroll treatment and legislation regarding sickness and work accidents.
• Hands-on experience with HR systems such as SuccessFactors, Protime, eBlox or Neocase.
• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting using Excel and Power BI.
• Structured, solution-oriented and able to handle sensitive data with discretion.
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English.

• Manage the end-to-end administrative follow-up of long-term sickness files exceeding 30 days.
• Monitor key legal milestones and process deadlines to ensure full compliance and audit readiness.
• Maintain accurate sickness and absence records within HR and payroll systems to ensure data quality.
• Coordinate with payroll departments and external insurance partners regarding work accident declarations and disability allowances.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and digitalization to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports to provide insights on absence trends and financial impacts.
• Support the continuous improvement of HR processes through digitalization and automation initiatives.

• You have a Bachelor's degree.
• You possess 3+ years of experience in HR operations or payroll administration with a focus on absence management.
• You bring strong knowledge of Belgian payroll treatment and legislation regarding sickness and work accidents.
• You have hands-on experience with HR systems such as SuccessFactors, Protime, eBlox, or Neocase.
• You possess proficiency in data visualization and reporting using Excel and Power BI.
• You're structured, solution-oriented, and able to handle sensitive data with discretion.
• You are fluent in French, Dutch, and English.

Nice to Haves
