Technology & Risk Recruitment on behalf of a major transport and infrastructure organisation is seeking a ServiceNow Developer / Technical Consultant on a contract basis. The role covers development, configuration and integrations, with emphasis on technical design, platform health and standards.

You will lead technical delivery across HAM/SAM/ITSM modules, work with architects and functional consultants, and provide guidance to peers. A CSA and CIS/Developer certs are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a ServiceNow Technical Consultant.
• 3+ years' ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• Experience across at least two ServiceNow products/modules.
• Experience designing and implementing at least two integrations with non-ServiceNow applications.
• Strong ServiceNow development and configuration experience.
• Experience with testing/ATF is beneficial.
• Experience working alongside architects and functional consultants.

Role: ServiceNow Developer / Technical Consultant

Role Type: Contract

TRR is currently recruiting on behalf of a major organisation in the transport and infrastructure sector for an experienced ServiceNow Developer / Technical Consultant to join a team delivering ServiceNow implementations and technical solutions.

This is a hands‑on technical role with responsibility for ServiceNow development, configuration, integrations and technical design, while also supporting other technical consultants and maintaining platform standards.

The role

You will work as a technical lead across ServiceNow implementation activities, potentially covering areas include:

• Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
• Software Asset Management (SAM)
• IT Service Management (ITSM)
• HR Service Delivery
• Security Operations (SecOps)
• IT Operations Management (ITOM)

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and configuring ServiceNow applications and solutions.
• Designing and implementing integrations with external systems.
• Supporting the Platform Architect with technical solution design.
• Producing detailed technical designs and documentation.
• Working closely with Functional Consultants, Platform Architects and other technical team members.
• Delivering ServiceNow development and configuration activities.
• Performing system and integration testing.
• Creating and maintaining Automated Test Framework (ATF) tests.
• Supporting and providing technical guidance to other consultants.
• Carrying out peer reviews and quality checks.
• Ensuring platform health through ServiceNow standards and best practices.

To be considered, you should have:

• 3+ years' experience as a ServiceNow Technical Consultant.
• 3+ years' ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• Development experience across at least two distinct ServiceNow products/modules.
• Experience designing and implementing at least two integrations with non-ServiceNow applications.
• Strong ServiceNow development and configuration experience.
• Experience working with technical designs and solution implementation.Experience with testing and/or ATF would be highly beneficial.
• Experience working alongside architects and functional consultants.

Mandatory certifications

You must hold:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or equivalent Administrator certification.
• At least one CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) or ServiceNow Developer/Application Developer certification.
