Gaming1 is seeking a senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a team that enables Product Engineering to own reliability. You will design and improve observability, incident management, and self-service reliability tooling, while mentoring peers and driving SRE practices.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with Infrastructure and Developer Experience to scale reliability across the organization.

THE SCOPE

With 30 years of history, today Gaming1 is one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). This is a senior position combining deep SRE expertise with a strong mentoring and enablement mindset. The role plays a key part in evolving Gaming1’s reliability practices and upskilling the existing Reliability Operations team.

You will join a team of experienced engineers whose mission is to enable Product Engineering teams to fully own the reliability of their applications (“you build it, you run it”). Rather than operating systems for others, the team builds reliability capabilities, golden paths, and self-service tooling that scale across the organization.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with Product Engineering teams, Infrastructure, and Developer Experience.

The main objective of the role is to design, improve, and drive adoption of reliability capabilities, while acting as a technical mentor who elevates team performance and maturity.

YOUR ROLE

• Design, implement, and continuously improve observability, alerting, and incident management capabilities
• Build self-service reliability tooling and golden paths that enable Product Engineering teams to operate autonomously
• Drive adoption of SRE practices across teams, embedding reliability thinking into delivery workflows
• Act as a technical mentor within the Reliability Operations team through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Lead improvements in incident response, runbooks, and post-incident processes, facilitating blameless post-mortems
• Reduce incident frequency and mean time to recovery (MTTR) through preventive and systemic improvements
• Approach reliability as a platform product, focusing on usability, adoption, and long-term impact rather than short-term fixes

YOUR PROFILE

• Has a strong engineering background; formal education is a plus but not a requirement
• 4+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or Platform Reliability Engineer
• Is an expert SRE practitioner with strong hands-on experience in: Site Reliability Engineering practices
• Observability and monitoring systems (Datadog or equivalent)
• Incident management and response (Jira Service Management or similar tools)
• Has solid experience with: Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Linux systems and networking
• Infrastructure as Code
• Programming and scripting
• Brings a strong mentoring orientation and finds motivation in helping others grow
• Thinks in terms of platforms and enablement, not centralized operations
• Communicates complex reliability concepts clearly and documents for scale
• Is fluent in English (spoken and written); French is a plus
