Gaming1, a leader in land-based and online games, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own internal tooling for Product Engineering. You will join the Developer Experience team building scaffolding tools, CLIs, templates, and the internal platform API.

You will collaborate with engineers, principal architects and infrastructure to deliver high-quality tooling, improve workflows, and ensure maintainability across the .NET stack, with English fluency and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer (Developer Platform or Internal Tooling) or Senior Platform Engineer.
• Strong expertise in .NET development and building developer-facing tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, and code quality practices.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of existing internal tooling, scaffolding tools, and platform APIs, maintaining and evolving what has been built by principal architects and senior engineers.
• Design and build new developer-facing tools (CLIs, templates, starter kits) as new needs emerge.
• Contribute to golden paths by composing existing building blocks into cohesive, easy-to-use developer workflows.
• Ensure tooling is well-engineered, maintainable, and aligned with the .NET ecosystem used by Product Engineering teams.
• Raise the bar on code quality, testing practices, and documentation through example and code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineering teams to understand their needs and gather feedback on tooling.
• Work with architects to align tooling decisions with the broader technical direction of the platform.

This role focuses on building and evolving internal developer tooling that enables Product Engineering teams to deliver faster, with less friction and more consistency. It sits at the intersection of software engineering, platform thinking, and developer enablement.

You will join a small, focused Developer Experience team, responsible for building and maintaining internal tooling such as scaffolding tools, CLIs, templates, and the internal developer platform API. These building blocks compose into golden paths that make the right way the easy way for Product Engineering teams.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with principal architects, Product Engineering teams, and Infrastructure.

The main objective of the role is to own, evolve, and extend internal developer tooling, ensuring high quality, strong adoption, and continuous improvement of engineering practices across the organization.

YOUR PROFILE

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer (Developer Platform or Internal Tooling) or Senior Platform Engineer
• Has strong expertise in:.NET development
• Building developer-facing tooling, CLIs, or internal utilities
• Software engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, code quality)
• Has experience or interest in:Python for platform tooling
• Developer portals (React / Next.js, Backstage or similar)
• Kubernetes and container-based workflows
• Thinks in terms of platforms and products, with engineers as customers
• Is collaborative and comfortable working across teams and disciplines
• Takes pride in high-quality, maintainable engineering solutions
• Communicates technical decisions clearly and documents for scale
• Is fluent in English (spoken and written); French is a plus
