Gaming1 is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and maintain the internal developer platform, delivering self-service tooling and automation for engineering teams across the group.

You will implement IaC, ensure security, monitor performance, and contribute to disaster recovery planning while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, international environment. This role offers hybrid work with up to 50% remote and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Strong platform engineering mindset: self-serviceability, automation, and developer experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Working knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm).
• Ability to write code for automation purposes (Python, .NET, or similar).
• Understanding of security standards for operational platforms.

This role will be responsible for building and maintaining the technical capabilities of our internal developer platform, enabling seamless software delivery within GAMING1 in a robust, secure, observable, resilient, and self-service way. At GAMING1, Platform Engineers are the builders and maintainers of the technical capabilities that power our internal developer platform. We treat our platform as a product, with our engineering teams as our customers, and our core principle is providing self-serviceability to reduce cognitive load and empower these teams.

YOUR ROLE

You will:

YOUR PROFILE

• Required Qualifications and Mindset:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields
• Strong platform engineering mindset: focus on self-serviceability, automation, and developer experience
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• Working knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
• Ability to write code for automation purposes (Python, .NET, or similar)
• Understanding of security standards for operational platforms

• Willingness to take calculated risks and experiment with new approaches to solve difficult problems
• Experience building self-service interfaces and developer portals
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and developer experience tools
• Knowledge of observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience with PostgreSQL database systems, RabbitMQ message brokers, Kafka streaming platforms or IAM providers
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team while knowing when to work autonomously
• Strong communication skills and ability to share technical knowledge
