Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking an experienced HR Project Manager to lead strategic HR initiatives for a major public transport client in Brussels. You will steer complex HR projects from design to implementation, ensuring alignment with budget, regulations, and stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years in project management in large organizations, extensive SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors experience, and strong PM²/PMBOK/PRINCE2/Agile knowledge.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in large organizations
• Extensive SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors project experience
• Led at least 5 large-scale projects (>1 year)
• Strong understanding of PM methods: PM², PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile
• Functional analysis skills to translate HR requirements into tech specs
• HRIS architecture and data integration knowledge
• Experience managing teams in complex project environments
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (min B2)

Responsibilities

Our client, a major organization in the Belgian public transport sector, is looking for an experienced professional to lead strategic human resources initiatives. The role involves steering complex HR projects from initial design to final implementation while ensuring alignment with functional, technical, and budgetary guidelines.

• Steer HR projects from design through implementation, ensuring adherence to functional, technical, budgetary, and regulatory guidelines.
• Manage project progress by reporting on key milestones, identifying points of attention, and implementing solutions to issues.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, IT teams, and analysts to ensure the successful delivery of HR software solutions.
• Conduct thorough process reviews to assess the impact of changes on existing applications, data, reporting, and organizational structures.
• Develop training and communication materials to support organizational change and facilitate project adoption across the workforce.
• Manage team activities, workloads, and priorities while providing guidance to ensure project objectives are met.

• You have 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large organizations with over 10,000 employees.
• You possess extensive experience managing SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors projects.
• You have successfully led at least 5 large-scale projects with a duration of more than one year.
• You bring a deep understanding of project management methodologies such as PM², PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile.
• You possess functional analysis skills to translate HR business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• You have a strong understanding of HRIS architecture and data integration between internal and external systems.
• You have experience managing team activities and workload within a complex project environment.
• You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English (minimum B2 level for all).

Nice to Haves

• Experience with migration of SAP solutions to the cloud.
• Experience developing digital HR tools such as chatbots or specialized job sites.
• Knowledge of modern HR policy development and implementation.
