Job summary

Qover is seeking a mid/senior data engineer to strengthen our data capabilities in Brussels. You will own developing data reports, prototyping to production, and aligning solutions with strong engineering practices.

You’ll work on dbt pipelines, a robust data model, and timely data delivery to partners while upholding governance and security standards. You will collaborate with a global team across the data space, evangelize best practices, and help business users become data-savvy.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in SQL and data modelling.
• Master's degree in STEM preferred, not mandatory.
• Fluent in Python.
• Experience with Git, Bash, CI/CD and Docker.
• Experience with cloud services and serverless data warehouses.
• Excellent communication and fluent English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, clean data financial reports for insurance programs.
• Build and optimize dbt pipelines supporting daily operations.
• Propose and implement a robust data model for insurance data.
• Ensure timely data delivery to partners and perform QA checks.
• Reduce data maze by consolidating tables in the BigQuery warehouse.
• Contribute to data governance and documentation, testing and access controls.
