All European Careers BENELUX is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer in Brussels, Belgium, hybrid work arrangement. You will design and optimize scalable data transformation pipelines using dbt, SQL, PySpark and Apache Iceberg, modernizing legacy data processing workflows and ensuring data quality across enterprise analytics environments.

The role requires 6+ years of IT experience, strong analytics engineering expertise, and collaboration with data engineering and business teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a IT-related field is required.
• 6+ years of IT experience with hands-on dbt, SQL and Spark.
• Strong analytics engineering knowledge, modern data modelling and modular dbt architectures.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex transformations and performance optimization.
• Practical experience with PySpark and Apache Spark, distributed processing and tuning.
• Experience with Apache Iceberg including schema/partition evolution and time travel.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines using dbt and PySpark.
• Optimize dbt project performance, SQL transformations and incremental processing.
• Develop and maintain data quality checks, automated regression tests and pipeline validation procedures.
• Design modular dbt models with staging, intermediate and marts layers and reusable macros.
• Work with Apache Iceberg tables including schema evolution and snapshot management.
• Translate business requirements into reliable, production-ready transformations and support migration from legacy systems.
