team.blue is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our AI & Data function in Gent, Belgium. You will bridge the Data Management and Analytics teams, transforming raw data into analytics-ready datasets, building KPIs, semantic models, and data products that feed dashboards and reports.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders, own onboarding of new data domains, define KPI logic, ensure data quality, and contribute to data governance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related data role.
• Strong, hands-on proficiency with dbt Core/Cloud.
• Experience working on Databricks or comparable cloud data platforms.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modelling, data vault, or similar warehousing patterns.
• SQL excellence: complex transformations, window functions, query optimisation.
• Proven ability to work autonomously across multiple data domains with limited guidance.
• Strong analytical mindset; able to interrogate data and validate logic end-to-end.
• Excellent communication skills with business stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design and build robust dbt models on Databricks transforming raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
• Define and implement KPI logic in collaboration with business and analytics stakeholders.
• Maintain and evolve the semantic/presentation layer, ensuring reliable, tested, documented data products.
• Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code: version control, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Independently onboard new data domains and explore data structures with limited guidance.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to meet reporting and self-service needs.
