Job summary

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is seeking a Database Analytics Engineer fluent in English to join our Brussels-based team. The role involves designing scalable data transformation pipelines, optimizing dbt projects, and collaborating with a major client’s IT team on site.

You will work with dbt Core, PySpark, and Apache Iceberg, building data quality checks, automated tests, and CI/CD practices. A university degree and at least 12 years of IT experience are required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reliable data transformation pipelines and workflows.
• Optimise the performance and execution times of dbt projects.
• Design, implement, and document data quality checks and control tests using dbt capabilities.
• Establish automated regression testing and validation procedures to ensure pipeline output quality and consistency.
• Promote and share best practices for maintaining, managing, and evolving dbt projects across the team.
• Analyse business requirements and translate business analysis documentation into robust, operational data transformation pipelines.
