Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd in Belgium is seeking a Senior business analyst / functional analyst for Financial Services to support client transformations within EY's Technology & Innovation practice. You’ll help bridge business and IT on banking and insurance projects and contribute to agile delivery.

Ideal candidates have 1–6 years in consulting/financial services, a Master’s degree, strong analytical skills, and fluency in Dutch/French with business English.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master's degree in a relevant field (business or civil engineering, computer science, economics, information system management, etc.)
• 1 to 6 years of professional experience in consulting and/or the financial services sector, showcasing a track record as a business analyst, functional analyst, or related roles
• Experience in analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and working with functional teams
• Understanding of project lifecycles, including working in Agile teams
• Knowledge of business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, UML) and agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
• Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
• Outstanding stakeholder management and ability to build relationships through clear communication
• Certifications such as Agile (Scrum, Product Owner), or business analysis certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus
• Language proficiency: Fluent in either or both Dutch and French, complemented with a strong command of business English

Responsibilities

• Analyzing the AS-IS situation: Gain a clear understanding of the current business processes and identify gaps in alignment with the target architecture and business objectives
• Eliciting requirements: Conduct workshops with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring solutions meet business objectives and user needs
• Design support: Assist in defining functional specifications and designing TO-BE processes using tools like BPMN or UML to document workflows and functional models
• Facilitating collaboration: Act as a bridge between business and IT teams to align on requirements and ensure shared understanding
• Testing and validation: Support testing phases by preparing use cases, test scenarios, and validating that delivered solutions align with business requirements
• Change management support: Assist with user training and adoption strategies to ensure smooth deployment of new solutions
• Continuous learning: Stay up to date on industry trends, business transformation practices, and functional analysis methodologies
