Smappee is seeking a Backend Developer to lead Java backend services for our energy management platform. You’ll connect our solutions with households, businesses, installers and partners, while also contributing to the UI in React and TypeScript.

You’ll own a backend domain, work in a cloud environment (AWS), and collaborate across product, firmware, app, and QA teams to deliver robust, integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• At least five years as a software engineer with backend focus.
• Strong Java background and relational databases experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Responsabilités

• Design, build and maintain Java backend services in our cloud platform.
• Develop the APIs consumed by UI and partners.
• Build the front end on top of your services in React and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain integrations the platform depends on, towards devices and systems.
• Act as third line support for your domain and fix root causes in the product.
• Collaborate with product management, designers, firmware engineers, app developers and testers to shape how we work.
