life Power is seeking a senior Backend Engineer to own core backend and IoT integration across our platform in a fast-growing energy company. You will work across Node.js/TypeScript, AWS, and timeseries data stacks to deliver scalable services and secure APIs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design with domain-driven patterns, and help push architecture decisions in a hybrid work environment in Belgium. Experience with analytics and device integration is valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building backend services (Node.js/TypeScript) in production.
• Hands-on experience with AWS for deploying cloud-native services.
• Experience with timeseries data pipelines (QuestDB/InfluxDB/Timestream).
• Knowledge of IoT integration and data scraping.
• Strong understanding of microservices, API-driven and domain-driven design (DDD).
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch and Sentry.
• Security-by-design APIs and IAM least privilege concepts.
• Familiarity with GDPR, NIS2, CRA compliance.

Responsabilités

• Own and evolve core backend and billing services end-to-end.
• Design, build and maintain backend services and AWS deployment pipelines.
• Manage timeseries data stack for analytics.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across cloud and device code.
• Share architectural knowledge and assist teammates.
• Apply domain-driven design and microservice patterns.
