Sales (Retail) - Sablon
Brussels, Belgium

Your Challenge

You turn a shop visit into a sale. Most customers come only once, so you use that one visit to understand exactly what they need and want, and you guide them to a decision. You are no hard seller, but you do not let a customer leave with just “I’ll think about it”. From the first visit to the day the sofa arrives, you are their contact.

What You Will Do
  • Make the first visit count. You take the time to understand the customer in depth: the room, how they live, their style, their wishes, budget and timing. You ask the questions that matter, so your proposal fits from the start.
  • Think in complete solutions. You propose the full picture, not a single product, so one chair becomes a complete living room.
  • Show the value. You know what makes each piece worth it: materials, craftsmanship, durability and service, and you make that tangible for every customer.
  • Close the deal. You take away doubts, know when to ask for the order, and you do. If the decision is not today, you agree a concrete next step (a quote, a sample or a home visit) and follow up until it is signed or clearly lost.
  • Follow through. You register orders and payments in Odoo and stay on each order until delivery, so the customer comes back.
  • Chase every lead. Website enquiries, showroom visits and event guests are followed up within days, not weeks.
  • Know the collection inside out. Products, materials, prices and delivery times are your tools, and you keep the shop tidy, correctly priced and in perfect condition.
  • Own your targets. You know your personal and shop sales targets, follow your own results and act when you fall behind.
Who You Are
  • Two or more years in retail sales, ideally in premium furniture, home or lifestyle, with a track record of reaching targets.
  • A secondary or higher education diploma; design training is a plus.
  • A sharp listener who asks the right questions and gets to the real need behind the request.
  • Assertive without being pushy: confident in what you sell and comfortable asking for the order.
  • Proud of the product, with a good eye for colour, material and composition.
  • Structured in quotes, orders and follow-up; Odoo is a plus.
  • Dutch and French come naturally to you, and your English is strong.
  • Weekends and flexible hours are part of retail, and that suits you.
