Job summary

Altia is a high-value digital transformation services company seeking a Release Manager to lead end-to-end planning, coordination and control of releases, including CI/CD, risk management, deployments, rollback, and post-production stabilisation.

Location: Remote / Far-site with occasional on-site presence in Brussels. Environment: European Institutions and international stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent and EQF level 6.
• Minimum 12 years IT experience.
• Proficiency in English or French at B2 level.
• ITIL 4 Foundation or SAFe/Agile delivery cert.
• EU security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end release planning, coordination, and control.
• Oversee CI/CD, risk management, deployments, rollbacks, and go/no-go validations.
• Monitor and stabilize post-production environments.

We are looking for a Release Manager to lead the end-to-end planning, coordination and control of releases, including CI/CD, risk management, deployments, rollback, go/no-go validations, monitoring and post-production stabilisation.

Location: Remote / Far-site with occasional on-site presence in Brussels.

Environment: European Institutions and international stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

Must-Have Requirements:

• EQF Level 6 qualification (Bachelor degree or equivalent), or (3 years of higher education)
• Minimum of 12 years of IT professional experience.
• English or French: minimum B2 CEFR level.
• Mandatory certification: ITIL 4 Foundation or an Agile delivery methodology certification, such as SAFe.
• The candidate must be eligible for EU-27 security clearance or already hold it.

Required technical knowledge

• Software development lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, DevSecOps)
• Version control (Git, SVN or Mercurial)
• CI/CD (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Build automation (Maven, Gradle, Ant)
• Configuration management and infrastructure (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform)
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deployment automation/release orchestration (XL Deploy, Harness, Spinnaker)
• Cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud); scripting (Python, Bash or PowerShell)
• Monitoring and logging (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Release governance, change management, rollback, incident and problem management.
