Altia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead technically complex projects, primarily for the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal Information System and related EU chemicals sectors. The role involves coordinating international teams and stakeholders in a European environment, with remote work and occasional on-site presence in Brussels.

Candidates should have a Master’s degree or equivalent, 15+ years in IT and project management, strong PM²/PM methodologies, Agile experience, and fluency

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for manage technical complex projects mainly related to the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal Information System and its successors, as well as other projects supporting the EU chemicals and bio-based industries sectors.

Location

Remote / Far-site with occasional on-site presence in Brussels.

European Institutions and international stakeholders.

Main responsibilities

• Planning, executing and controlling projects: scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risks.
• Coordinating the project team and reviewing deliverables.
• Liaising with the Business Manager, business users and other stakeholders.
• Preparing project plans, quality plans, estimates, status reports and communication plans.
• Monitoring costs, timelines, resources and deviations.
• Supporting business architecture and technology rationalisation initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• EQF Level 7 qualification (Master’s degree or equivalent), or (5 years of higher education)
• Minimum of 15 years of IT professional experience.
• Minimumin 15 years as a Project Manager.
• 15 years in IT or digital transformation projects.
• 5 years of practical experience with recognised project management methodologies, such as PM².
• 5 years working in Agile environments.
• 10 years using requirements-management tools such as Jira or GitLab.
• 10 years of experience in international environments.
• Excellent spoken and written English and French, at C2 level or above.

Required technical knowledge

• Java: minimum 10 years.
• PHP: minimum 5 years.
• SQL databases: minimum 10 years.
• Web services development: minimum 5 years.
• Enterprise Architecture Frameworks, such as TOGAF: minimum 5 years.
• Enterprise Architecture tools, such as Sparx Enterprise Architect: minimum 5 years.
• PM² Essentials, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
