Job summary

European Dynamics is seeking a System and Deployment Administrator based in Brussels, fluent in English, to join the Development team working on client projects on site.

You will manage deployments, collaborate with Dev, QA and DevSecOps teams, monitor performance, and handle server/storage/network configurations, with on-call support as part of the role.

Qualifications

• IT degree and 15+ years in IT.
• Minimum 3 years in IT operations or similar role.
• Strong deployment management experience.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet.
• Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket; Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI; Monitoring: Prometheus/Grafana.
• AWS/Azure or equivalent certification; excellent English.

Responsibilities

Job description

We currently have a vacancy for a System and Deployment Administrator fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company's premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client's IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Manage deployments in Acceptance (ACC) and Production (PROD) environments;
• Work closely with Development, QA, and DevSecOps teams to ensure smooth deployments;
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues;
• Manage server, storage, and network configurations;
• Maintain an incident log and prepare incident reports;
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members;
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Minimum 3 years' of experience with IT operations or a similar role;
• Excellent experience with deployment management;
• Excellent experience with scripting (i.e. Python, Bash, PowerShell);
• Excellent experience with cloud platforms (i.e AWS, Azure, GCP);
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (i.e. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet);
• Knowledge of Atlassian Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket;
• Knowledge of Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab;
• Knowledge of CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI;
• Knowledge of Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace;
• At least one of the following certifications is required:
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or equivalent;
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent;
• Excellent command of the English language.
