Job summary

SNCB, in partnership with Ypto, seeks a Business Area Manager for Real Time Operations to lead a portfolio of critical train-operations applications. You will drive delivery, strategy, and transformation initiatives while balancing stability with innovation.

You will manage a €10 million budget, coordinate with senior stakeholders, and guide a team of leads and delivery professionals to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience managing team leads and multidisciplinary teams with strong coaching skills.
• Proven project management, portfolio and delivery management experience.
• Strong CAPEX/OPEX budget management experience including budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Business Area Leads and Team Leads within the domain; supervise project delivery and ensure high performance of the organization.
• Define and steer the strategic roadmap of the domain aligned with business priorities and ensure successful delivery of projects and services.
• Manage a consolidated budget of approximately €10 million across CAPEX and OPEX; allocate resources and monitor financial performance; manage risks and opportunities.
• Ensure availability, quality and performance of mission-critical applications and services; promote best practices in delivery and governance.
• Act as trusted partner for senior stakeholders and represent the domain in governance bodies and management forums.
