Lotus Bakeries in Belgium seeks a Quality Compliance Specialist focused on food law to ensure accurate, compliant ingredients, labelling and specifications across TREK and Nākd product lines. You will translate regulations into actionable guidelines and support cross-functional teams in sales and marketing with compliant product information.

The role requires a Master’s degree in food science/technology, first experience in quality or regulatory roles, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in food industry, food technology, food science, nutrition and/or dietetics.
• Passion for food and quality with relevant first experience.
• Ability to work accurately with data and legislation and make connections.
• Strong sense of responsibility, perseverance and customer-oriented communication.
• Collaborative mindset with international colleagues.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; PLM knowledge a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Quality Compliance Specialist - food law

You are the expert in food quality related areas such as recipe management, international food law, specification management, labelling and packaging approval for our TREK and Nākd brands. All products pass through your eagle eye and are checked by you for the accuracy and completeness of the required specifications.

• First and foremost familiarise yourself with TREK and Nākd: get to know your product category, ingredients and production processes
• Follow international food law regarding ingredients, contaminants and labelling of your product range
• Convert food regulations into structured guidelines for product and labelling purposes
• Research legal and quality compliance of ingredients and labelling (inclusive claims studies) for new products and markets
• Share product information in a standardised and user-friendly way with the international sales and marketing departments and provide support with customer questions
• Approve specifications, labels and products from other food groups in your market areas
• Provide key user support with our PLM system and update data related to food law, ingredients, recipes, specifications and labelling

Profile

• You have a Master’s degree in food industry, food technology, food science, nutrition and/or dietetics
• You have a relevant first experience and above all you have a passion for food and quality
• Working accurately with data and legislation, making connections and striving for perfection are just a few things that interest you
• A sense of responsibility, perseverance, customer-oriented communication and collaboration with international colleagues are things that really appeal to you
• You can work with PowerPoint and Excel, knowledge of PLM systems is a plus
• Finally you speak, read and understand English fluently
