Job summary

Lotus Bakeries seeks a proactive professional to lead supplier FSQMS initiatives, ensuring food safety, quality and regulatory compliance across the supply base. You will implement and continuously improve FSQMS, organize audits, manage risks, and build strong relationships to sustain long-term excellence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Food Technology or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a food production environment.
• Experience leading supplier and/or internal audits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English.
• Willing to travel ~20% to partner sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FSQMS implementation and continuous improvement for suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
• Plan and perform supplier audits, assess risks and translate findings into targeted improvement actions.
• Monitor KPIs (complaints, audit results, out-of-spec trends) to drive ongoing supplier performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Global brand marketing, Group R&D, Group procurement, and other stakeholders to align quality expectations and new developments.
• Assess new partners with Group procurement and Group R&D to ensure business continuity and contingency plans.
• Support suppliers through training, manage complaints, and ensure up-to-date documentation and certifications.

Job description

In this role, you take the lead in ensuring that your designated suppliers across our group meet the highest standards in food safety, quality and regulatory compliance. You assess and improve their systems, organise audits, manage risks, and build strong relationships that support long-term excellence.

• You take the lead in implementing and continuously improving the FSQMS for suppliers, ensuring compliance with both internal standards and external regulations
• You organise and perform supplier audits, assess risks and turn findings into targeted actions that strengthen supplier performance
• By monitoring KPI’s such as complaints, audit results and out-of-spec trends, you help drive continuous improvement across the supply base
• Together with Global brand marketing, Group R&D, Group procurement, Group FSQA and other stakeholders, you work towards aligned quality expectations and smooth integration of new developments
• Together with Group procurement and Group R&D, you asses new partners, ensuring the right level of contingency is considered to secure business continuity
• You support your designated suppliers through training and guidance, manage complaints, and ensure documentation and certifications are accurate and up to date

Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in Food Technology or a related field, and bring in-depth expertise in food safety, HACCP and quality systems
• With at least 5 years of relevant experience, you’ve built a practical understanding of quality standards in a food production environment
• You have experience in leading supplier and/or internal audits
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships, flexibility and a dynamic approach are your key strengths
• You thrive in a production environment and get energized by travelling to our partners (20% travel)
• You communicate fluently in English
