In4Matic is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex digital transformation initiatives within a large and highly regulated public-sector environment. You will own projects from definition through implementation, ensuring scope, quality, budget and timelines are met.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and risks, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with international partners. Dutch and French proficiency is required.

• 5+ years of professional experience in project management, preferably IT or digital transformation.
• Stakeholder management across multiple organizations and levels of seniority.
• Strong knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with budget management, risk management, planning and project governance.

Function

We're looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join our client's team and lead complex digital transformation initiatives within a large, highly regulated public-sector environment. You will take ownership of projects from initial definition through implementation, ensuring that objectives are delivered within agreed scope, quality, budget and timelines. The role combines strategic coordination with hands-on project leadership and offers the opportunity to work across multiple organizations and international partners.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of IT projects, from defining the solution and project approach through implementation and delivery.
• Develop project plans, roadmaps, milestones, deliverables and resource planning, while continuously monitoring progress and taking corrective action where required.
• Manage scope, risks, change requests, validation and acceptance, ensuring the quality of project deliverables.
• Coordinate project teams and facilitate collaboration between diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, balancing potentially conflicting interests and creating alignment around project objectives.
• Closely monitor regulatory and legal deadlines, proactively identifying potential delays and implementing corrective measures.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, financial monitoring, forecasting and reporting to management.
• Establish clear and consistent communication through project reporting, meetings, dashboards and other communication channels.
• Map and optimize data flows, including data ownership, data input and management responsibilities, security requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate complex information exchanges between national organizations and international partners, including cross-border data flows.
• Identify, assess, document and mitigate project risks, covering resources, technology, regulations and other external dependencies.
• Work effectively with project-management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a seasoned project manager who combines strong organizational and analytical capabilities with excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills. You are comfortable operating in complex environments with numerous dependencies, tight deadlines and changing regulatory requirements. You can translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, keep diverse stakeholders aligned and intervene decisively when a project is at risk.

Your profile:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management, preferably in complex IT or digital transformation environments.
• Demonstrable experience with stakeholder management across multiple organizations and levels of seniority.
• Strong knowledge of analytical project-management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and Agile.
• Experience with budget management, risk management, planning and project governance.
• Affinity with data flows, information exchange and the coordination of integrations between different systems or organizations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and French.
• Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented, with the ability to take ownership and drive projects toward successful delivery.
