Job summary

EMW is seeking a Principal Solution Engineer in Belgium to lead architecture development for complex NATO-aligned solutions. The role focuses on designing and governing solution architectures, ensuring compliance with requirements, and coordinating across projects in a security-cleared environment.

The position is full-time on-site in Belgium with potential occasional travel to other NATO sites. Qualifications include advanced degrees, MBSE experience, architecture modelling languages, and NATO

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 5+ years post-related experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8+ years post-related experience.
• Proven experience managing teams of technical personnel.
• Knowledge of current and future Mobile Infrastructure technologies and trends.
• Experience with design and systems integration equipment (AC Power, UPS, etc.).
• Good understanding of Wireless technologies including SATCOM.
• Experience with Architecture modelling languages (UML, SysML, ArchiMate) and MBSE.
• Experience applying quality assurance practices.
• Sound experience in development, implementation, fielding, testing and maintenance of modern communications equipment.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development of architectures for complex solutions ensuring consistency with requirements.
• Establishes policies for selection of architecture components and manages trade-offs.
• Coordinates and manages target architecture across multiple projects.
• Maintains stable architecture and ensures design adherence across projects.
