Job summary

NCIM is seeking a Principal Solution Engineer to lead architecture design, requirements management, and systems development for large-scale initiatives. You will guide architecture principles, manage trade-offs, and communicate decisions to senior stakeholders.

The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams, deep knowledge of mobile and deployable infrastructure, MBSE, and governance integration across the full lifecycle. On-site work in Belgium with NATO-grade security context.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 5+ years post-graduate experience or Bachelor’s with 8+ years
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams
• Strong knowledge of mobile and deployable communication infrastructure technologies
• Experience with architecture modelling languages and MBSE
• ITIL Foundation and PRINCE2 Foundation or PMP preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design and end-to-end solution architectures across large initiatives.
• Define architectural principles, standards and best practices.
• Manage architectural trade-offs balancing requirements (functional, performance, security, operations).
• Communicate architectural decisions to senior stakeholders; maintain a baseline.
• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and traceability across projects.
• Design, produce and approve network architectures and configurations.
• Ensure security, privacy, and governance are integrated in SDLC.
• Plan and manage resources across full system development lifecycle.
