Job summary

BYD Europe is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our Belgium and Luxembourg automotive operations. You will optimize vehicle inventory, manage logistics, and drive customer satisfaction while collaborating closely with sales and marketing teams.

Lead the local operations team, oversee supply chain management, and ensure BYD standards across partners and processes. This role offers a path to shape zero-emission mobility in the region.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, Dutch or French as mother tongue.
• Bachelor and above in Business management, supply chain.
• At least 8+ years’ experience, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Professional PC user skills (MS Excel, Word, PPT). Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Management of supply chain and warehouse storage.

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicle inventory and quality at a reasonable range to fulfill orders for Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Maintain logistics damage control to lower loss and handle claims, with third-party support if needed.
• Provide spare parts or tools support for VPC, PDl, logistics damage or product defect repair, and technical upgrades of vehicles.
• Identify potential risks, take preventive measures to avoid accidents, extra costs, or delays.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to promote BYD products and services in Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Manage relationships with partners and logistics vendors to ensure BYD standards and high-quality service for customers.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly to improve satisfaction and exceed expectations.
• Promote BYD's vehicle quality control processes and supervise related documentation.
• Develop operational budgets and analyze KPIs to drive profitability.
• Recruit and manage the local operations team, set performance goals, and conduct appraisals.
• Continuously innovate and drive the operational strategy and development direction for the automotive business.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

About the Role:
As BYD's Operations Manager, you'll spearhead key aspects of our automotive business in Belgium & Luxembourg. Your role involves optimizing vehicle inventory, managing logistics, and enhancing customer satisfaction. You'll collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams, oversee supply chain management, and lead a local operations team. Key Responsibilities:

• Keep vehicle inventory and quality at reasonable range to fulfill the orders of Belgium and Luxembourg.

• Maintain logistics damage to lower level through various means or with the help of third-party agencies, and promptly make relevant claims.

• Provide spare parts or tools support for VPC, PDl, logistics damage or product defect repair, and technical upgrades of vehicles.

• Identify potential risks, take measures in advance to avoid accidents, additional expenses, or delays.

• Collaborate closely with sales and marketing departments to promote BYD's products and services and enhance the brand's influence in Belgium and Luxembourg.

• Manage business relationships with compound and logistics partners, ensure the work to be done in compliance with BYD standards, so to provide customers with first-class products and services.

• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner, improve customer satisfaction and continuously exceed customer expectations.

• Promote BYD's vehicle quality control process, implement training and supervision of quality control documents.

• Develop operational department budgets, analyze key performance indicators, and make data driven decisions to improve profitability.

• Recruit and manage local operations team, setting performance goals for members and conducting appraisals.

• Continuously innovate, formulate, and implement effective strategies, leading the operational strategy and development direction of the automotive business.

• Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Main requirements:
