Lloyd’s Insurance Company (LIC) in Brussels is seeking an Operational Risk Associate to join the Risk Management team. You’ll oversee and enhance our operational risk framework, working with stakeholders to identify risks, challenge thinking and support positive outcomes.

This role covers operational resilience, outsourcing and third‑party risk, information security, data risk and regulatory compliance. You’ll have autonomy to own key activities while learning from experienced risk professionals

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk, risk management, compliance, audit or assurance.
• Strong understanding of operational and non-financial risk management frameworks.
• Ability to analyse complex information and translate into clear insights and recommendations.
• Experience working with stakeholders across multiple business areas.
• Confidence presenting information to senior colleagues.
• Knowledge of financial services and regulated environments.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to Belgian or EU regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
• Insurance experience is helpful but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead and deliver assigned operational risk oversight activities, including risk assessments, control testing, incident reviews and thematic analysis.
• Monitor risk exposures and assess alignment with risk policies, standards and appetite.
• Provide constructive, evidence-based challenge and practical recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
• Identify emerging risks, trends and control weaknesses, helping drive continuous improvement.
• Produce clear and insightful reporting for senior management and risk committees.
• Support the development and delivery of LIC's annual Risk Plan.
• Promote a strong risk culture through collaboration, communication and sharing good practice.
• Build trusted relationships across LIC and its European branch network.
