Job summary

Edwards Vacuum is seeking an on-site Field Service Engineer based in Leuven to install, commission, maintain and repair Edwards equipment at customer sites. You will provide hands-on technical support, ensure safety and uptime, and collaborate with the Service team to enhance customer productivity.

The role emphasizes customer focus, problem solving, and ongoing skill development with training to advance to more complex product ranges. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• University or formal qualification in a mechanical, electromechanical or electronics discipline.
• Previous field service experience, ideally customer facing.
• Strong customer focus to meet expectations and timelines.
• Self-directed with the ability to resolve problems and escalate when needed.
• Able to read and interpret technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot Edwards products to achieve high first-time fix rates.
• Utilise Edwards processes and SMA, escalate as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform software setup, operation, maintenance, and basic analytics on Edwards equipment.
• Work safely, with risk awareness and adherence to SHE practices.
• Learn and develop knowledge to handle more complex product ranges over time.
• Provide clear feedback and reports for line management and support teams.
