Job summary

Air Liquide Belgium is seeking a skilled Field Services Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize gas equipment at customer sites across Flanders, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose issues from schematics, coordinate with subcontractors, document interventions, and participate in on-call rotations to support operations beyond normal hours.

Qualifications

Higher secondary technical degree in Electromechanics, Mechanics, Automation, or equivalent.
Fluent Dutch; practical English for customer communication.
Strong background in industrial maintenance and system troubleshooting.
Ability to read technical schematics and use maintenance software.
Valid driver’s license (B) for regional travel.

Responsibilities

Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on gas equipment (Bulk, On-Site, package gas, Cryo) per safety and quality standards.
Analyze equipment failures, identify root cause, perform mechanical/electrical repairs, and coordinate with subcontractors when required.
Assist project teams with assembling, dismantling, and commissioning new or retrofit installations.
Record hours and spare parts, write intervention reports, and obtain customer sign-offs after work.
Follow safety protocols (Zero Safety Incident) and ISO 14001 environmental guidelines.
Participate in a rotated on-call schedule to support emergencies outside normal hours.
